Mobile Remediation Trailer and Mobile Treatment UnitsDownload Service Brief

EnviroProbe Integrated Solutions, Inc (EnviroProbe) professionals have designed and implemented numerous soil and groundwater remediation systems and corrective action plans. EnviroProbe owns and operates two state of the art mobile remediation trailers (MRT) or mobile treatment units (MTU). The systems are designed to maximize remediation flexibility and economic efficiency of site remedial actions. The MTUs are great alternatives to expensive fixedn remediation systems and are significantly more effective than other mobile options (i.e., vacuum truck events).

EnviroProbe’s trailer-mounted MTUs consist of the following major treatment units:

  • High-vacuum dual phase extraction (DPE) pump/blower (Rotary Claw)
  • Air/water knock-out tank with transfer pump
  • Oil/water separator (gravity drain to holding tank w/transfer pump)
  • Air stripper with transfer pump
  • Twin bag filter system
  • Two activated carbon vessels (in series)
  • Discharge meter
  • Associated liquid sample ports on system intake (raw groundwater), pre-carbon, mid-carbon, and post-carbon
  • Associated air sample port on air stripper discharge
  • Associated liquid sample ports before and after bag filter
  • Electronic controls to automatically trip transfer pumps on and off to maintain continuous flow through the MTU process

This system can easily be coupled with other remediation technologies or strategies including:

  • Risk Assessment
  • Voluntary Remediation Program
  • Engineering and/or Institutional Controls
  • Air Sparge/Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE)
  • Bioventing
  • Groundwater Pump and Treat
  • Nutrient Augmentation
  • In-Situ Chemical Oxidation
  • Source Area Removal

Our professionals and scientists can also use computer modeling to predict remediation progress, verify pilot study results, and confirm that the final remedial design is the appropriate balance of feasibility, timeliness, and cost effectiveness. We will also provide planning and coordination with regulatory agencies and prepare necessary permits (i.e., NPDES, local POTW).
